K
en Roczen surprised many
by showing up and racing
the Mt. Morris, Pennsylvania,
round of the 2023 AMA Pro Mo-
tocross Championship, which
he said earlier this year that he
wouldn't be racing, so he could
focus on the fledgling World Su

starts July 1 in Great Britain.
Roczen made the decision
a few days before the race.
"I wanted to do this, first and

said. "There's so much to talk
about with such little motocross
riding that we did this week in
testing. But we showed up and
it was honestly a super muddy
mess. This was probably the
most brutal track we could've
possibly come back to for a one-
off. But we were P-1 in qualifying
and also put up a fight in the first
moto. We were leading laps, and
I was battling with the leaders.
With a lap and a half to go, I tried
passing a lapper and to cut out
