MSF DirtBike School Success Story
T
o commemorate its 50th
year of providing rider educa-
tion and training, the Motorcycle
Safety Foundation (MSF) is shar-
ing 50 stories on its website from
a wide variety of motorcycling
backgrounds, including new and
longtime riders, instructors and
more, with the goal to inspire, en-
tertain and share the fun of riding.
One of the more recent stories
is about Miles Engelmann and
his family. Miles was gifted the
MSF DirtBike class as a birthday
present when he was a second-
grader. The Engelmann family
were not motorcyclists, but they
saw the potential in the young
Miles, and that it was not just a
passing fascination.
"I did the class probably 24
times," Miles said, "because it
was where I was having the most
fun on the weekends."
Miles eventually ended up
at the Loretta Lynn's Amateur
Nationals, finishing 17th overall
at the 2022 event. See the whole
story in the video.
