for six in the first three rounds
of the series. He's also led every
lap (92). People are already
talking perfect season under
their breath, but there are eight
rounds and 16 motos still to go.
It was another perfect day for
Lawrence in Colorado. He set the
fastest time in qualifying, grabbed
two holeshots and led every lap of
both 35-minute motos. He's now
34 points clear of second place in
only three rounds.
450MX
It's going to be hard to stop
Jett Lawrence. With his Honda
teammate, Chase Sexton, sitting
out for the second week in a
row, no one can touch the young
Australian. Even a track like
Thunder Valley, which has in the
past claimed greats like James
Stewart and Eli Tomac to inju-
ries, was no match for "Jettson."
He's showing no signs of being a

THUNDER VALLEY MX, LAKEWOOD, COLORADO
MOTOCROSS I PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP / SUPERMOTOCROSS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

832 CHANCE HYMAS
5TH (11-3) 250MX
Chance Hymas nabbed third in the
second 250MX moto, which was the
best result of his professional career.
"Days like today remind me why I put
the amount of work and sacrifice I do
into this sport. This last year's been
tough, but it felt so damn good to run
up front again. First turn pileup hurt
the overall a little bit but ended up
11-3 for P5 overall on the day."
24 RJ HAMPSHIRE
9TH (8-7) 250MX
RJ Hampshire found himself on the
ground in the first turn of moto one
but eventually put together a top-10
day. "It was a really frustrating day,"
he said. "I feel awesome on my bike, I
just need to get out of the gate. It's so
frustrating having to charge like that
and have a couple of crashes and still
have a shot there at the end."

This is as close as anyone
got to Lawrence all day.
