sweep of the weekend. This time
the heat was much more of a
factor for Lawrence, and he didn't
decimate the field like he did at
round one. Instead, he kept the

RJ Hampshire won a moto last
weekend but rode to two quiet fifths
at Hangtown. "I just had two terrible
starts that kept us off the box," the
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider
said. "My riding was really good all
day; from qualifying through both
motos I felt awesome. But you can't
do much when you start outside the
top 15. It was probably the hardest
5-5 I've ever had in my life."

6TH (4-10) 250MX
Monster Energy/ Pro Circuit / Ka-
wasaki's Jo Shimoda had the pace
to run up front in moto two but a
collision with a lapper dropped him to
10th in the race. "I felt great, men-
tally and physically. My stamina and
energy is there, I just need to start
limiting my mistakes. Although there
were some issues out of my control,
I feel good knowing that we have the
pace to be up front."
