In just his second profession - al round (fourth if you count last year's feet-wetting experience) 250MX rookie Deegan grabbed the holeshot in the first moto of track as he logged two second- place finishes. Cooper, who's known for being a fast qualifier, set the best time early in the day and ran up front during both motos. He stayed close with teammate Deegan in race one and actually led the first few laps of race two before hand - ing the lead over to Lawrence. Regardless of pace, Cooper's two seconds are a noted im - provement from his 5-4 results a week ago.
