K TM's complete range of off-road "W" models, aka "enduro," have taken on big changes for the 2024 model year. Both the "W" four-stroke and two-stroke ranges have been reworked from the ground up. And there is even a new model, the XW-F. In all, you have the KTM 150, 250 and 300 XC-W two-strokes, the 450 XCF-W, and brand-new 350 and 500 XW-Fs. KTM also announced the 2024 350 and 500 EXC-F dual sports, which get many of the same changes as the new W bikes. In a nutshell, all the bikes get new frames, subframes, updat - ed spring forks, LED lighting and bodywork, among many other new items and technology. KTM claims the bikes sport "95 per- cent new components." The two-stroke XC's now have the same updated Throttle Body Injection (TBI) that the non-W XC two-stroke and motocross SXs got in 2023. In other big news, all the W models now feature all-new spring forks. They are now fitted with all-new 48mm WP Xact closed-cartridge coil spring forks. These forks also feature a new mid-valve concept that KTM says "optimizes the oil flow within the cartridge for fast, con - sistent damping characteristics and avoids any unwanted foam- ing of fork oil that can lead to an unwanted change in the damp- ing characteristics." There's VOLUME ISSUE MAY , P71 The 2024 KTM 450 XCF-W will be available with a quickshifter and traction control.
