Max Vohland
blasted out of the
gates to finish second in moto one
but a ninth in moto two dropped
him to sixth overall.

rider carried his late-season Super-
cross momentum and took off with
the lead in moto
one. He held on for
the opening race win.
Moto two was a different story
though, as Hampshire fell in the first
turn and then again on the opening
lap. He put on a charge but hit the
deck a third time later in the race.
Even with the crashes, Hampshire fin
-
ished 11th and still managed to earn
third
overall with a lopsided 1-11.
"I've never actually done that
outdoors. I usually have to come
from way back, and any moto I've
won has been all-out crazy," Hamp
-
shire said. "That second moto I went
into
that all-out crazy mode. I tried
RJ Hampshire came
out swinging and won
the 250MX first moto,
but crashes held him
back in race two.
