The first-ever Supersport "Ex-
tended" race was held at Barber
but the man at the top was still
Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati's
Xavi Fores.
The only Supersport race on
the card at Barber was sched-
uled for Saturday afternoon but
changing weather prolonged the
start and dropped the lap count
from 37 to 28 laps.
Fores engaged in a race-long
battle with Tytlers Cycle Racing
Kawasaki's Stefano Mesa in the
weekend with tire issues to take
a pair of sixth places on the
Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati.
Richie Escalante was a big
improver of the weekend on the
Vision Wheel M4 Ecstar Suzuki.
The Mexican took seventh in
race one, 20 seconds behind the
race winner but charged up to
fourth in race two, 8.8 seconds
off Gagne in first.
Race one was rounded out by
Ashton Yates (Aftercare Scheibe
Racing BMW) in eighth from the
third Tytlers Cycle Racing BMW
of Corey Alexander in ninth with
Hayden Gillim (Disrupt Racing
