Mika Hakkinen Signature Edition First Look F innish concern Verge Mo- torcycle has been producing electric superbikes since 2019 and the company has since joined forces with the country's legendary two-time Formula One World Champion Mika Hakkinen. Resplendent in a dark two- tone silver-and-black finish not too dissimilar to Hakkinen's championship-winning McLa - rens of 1998 and 1999 and limited to 100 examples, the Mika Hakkinen Signature Edi- tion comes to the game with an arm-stretching 1000Nm (737 lb-ft) of torque and 102kW (136 hp) of power via the same elec - tric motor and battery platform as used in the firm's TS Pro motorcycle. Weighing a claimed 540 pounds, Verge is claiming a top speed of 124 mph and a massive 350 miles of range for the Mika Hakkinen Signature Edition, with DC Fast Charging enabling a 0-80 percent charge time of just 35 minutes. The chassis hardware is similarly top-grade, with Ohlins providing the fully-adjustable suspension and Brembo sup - plying their monobloc four-pis- ton brakes to the Mika Hakki- nen Signature Edition. The Verge Motorcycles Mika Hakkinen Signature Edition will be on sale for $86,400. Verge plans to open U.S. operations late in 2023. CN WIND IN THE P54
