WSX Adds To 2023 Entry List
T
he 2023 FIM World Supercross Champion-
ship announced names of more racers
who will participate in the upcoming six-round
championship. These riders include Vince
Friese, Enzo Lopes, Chris Blose, Kyle Peters,
Justin Brayton and Colt Nichols.
Nichols, who just completed his short stint
with Honda HRC following the 2023 Monster
Energy AMA Supercross, will make the move
to the fledgling championship as a member of
the Rick Ware Racing Team, joining teammate
Joey Savatgy in the WSX (450cc) class. Justin
Brayton will ride as a member of the Honda
Fire Power squad with teammate Dean Wilson.
Friese will ride for the MotoConcepts Team,
Lopes for Club MX FXR (SX2), and Blose (SX2)
and Kyle Peters with Honda NILS (SX2).

Bennick To Star
Racing Yamaha
T
he Monster Energy Star Racing
Yamaha Team signed 17-year-old
Daxton Bennick to its long-term roster.
The rider from North Carolina joined
the team late last year for a six-month
trial. Since then, Bennick has collected
multiple wins and championships in the
amateur ranks and will remain with the
team after signing a multi-year deal.
Bennick will now focus on the Mon

ster Energy AMA Amateur National Mo-
tocross Championship at Loretta Lynn
Ranch and then will get the opportunity
to race the Scouting Moto Combine and
select rounds of the AMA Pro Moto-
cross 250MX Championship.
"He's shown us that he fits our
program by putting in the work over
the last six months, and that hard work
also shows in the incredible amount of
progress that he has made," said Star
Racing's 250cc Team Manager Jensen
Hendler.
