Moto3
The Moto3 race saw the two
championship protagonists
locked together from start to
finish. Daniel Holgado (Red
Bull KTM Ajo) extended his
lead in the championship to 19
points as the Spaniard fended
off Ayumu Sasaki (Liqui Moly
Husqvarna Intact GP), taking his
first victory since round one in
Portugal. It was a great week
-
end for Holgado as the man ly-
ing second in the championship,
Diogo Moreira (MT Helmets –
MSI), crashed out of the French
GP. Leopard Racing's Jaume
Masia was in the mix as well, as
ened distance of 14 laps it was
the same running as Arbolino
charged back into the lead from
Lopez and Acosta. With 10 laps
to go Acosta threw the Kalex
away at the same corner that
claimed Miller and Marquez
over the weekend, and then it
was a game of cat and mouse
between Arbolino and Salac.
Czech Salac tried all he knew to
close down the half-second gap
to the Italian Arbolino but the
number 14 held on for a valuable
25 points, one that gives him
the same points margin ahead
of Acosta in the champion

ship—99-74. Lopez's third place
sees him lying third in the cham-
pionship at 61 points, one up on
drew closer, but Arbolino held
on for a win he dedicated to his
mom on Mother's Day.
Alonso Lopez (Lightech
SpeedUp) was in the mix, as
well. The Spaniard hung onto
the coattails of the leading duo
to take third place in France.
It was another race of car

nage as Sam Lowes crashed
out at turn two on lap two while
chasing his MarcVDS teammate,
and then two corners later, a
massive crash involving Manuel

Canet (Pons Wegow Los40) and
Albert Arenas (Red Bull KTM
