MW has taken the wraps off
the fifth motorcycle to wear
the R18 badge, the 2023 R 18
Roctane, joining the R 18, R 18
Classic, R 18 B and R 18 Trans-
continental in the family lineup.
Powered by the company's
massive 1802cc air/oil-cooled
flat-twin that produces a whop
-
ping 116 lb-ft of torque at 3000
rpm and 91 hp at 4750 rpm, the
Roctane comes with three riding
modes (Rain, Roll and Rock),
heated grips, keyless ignition,
hill hold control, traction control,
Dynamic Engine Brake Control,
adaptive headlight, a reverse gear
and lots more.
Painted in a menacing mur

dered-out all black, the 765-pound
Roctane runs the same chassis
as the R 18 Classic and comes
with 14.26 gallons of storage
split across both hard side cases,
which is 3.04 gallons up on the R
18 Classic's soft cases. You can
also get an optional front screen
with auxiliary headlights and sus
-
pended indicators.

rystan Hart has committed to the 2023
FIM Hard Enduro World Championship,
which gets underway with the Xross Hard
Enduro Rally in Serbia, May 17-20. The FMF
KTM Factory Racing Team rider will contest
the full seven-round championship.
The 26-year-old Canadian is the defending
AMA U.S. Hard Enduro Series Champion.
The 2023 season will see Hart ride
alongside Red Bull KTM Factory Rac

ing's reigning FIM Hard Enduro World
Champion Manuel Lettenbichler.
Hart still plans to defend his AMA
U.S. Hard Enduro Series title and com

pete in the 2023 AMA EnduroCross
Championship, in which he finished
second overall in 2022.
