Salac with Canet fifth at 52. Moto3 The Moto3 race saw the two championship protagonists locked together from start to finish. Daniel Holgado (Red Bull KTM Ajo) extended his lead in the championship to 19 points as the Spaniard fended off Ayumu Sasaki (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP), taking his first victory since round one in Portugal. It was a great week - end for Holgado as the man ly- ing second in the championship, Diogo Moreira (MT Helmets – MSI), crashed out of the French GP. Leopard Racing's Jaume Masia was in the mix as well, as ened distance of 14 laps it was the same running as Arbolino charged back into the lead from Lopez and Acosta. With 10 laps to go Acosta threw the Kalex away at the same corner that claimed Miller and Marquez over the weekend, and then it was a game of cat and mouse between Arbolino and Salac. Czech Salac tried all he knew to close down the half-second gap to the Italian Arbolino but the number 14 held on for a valuable 25 points, one that gives him the same points margin ahead of Acosta in the champion - ship—99-74. Lopez's third place sees him lying third in the cham- pionship at 61 points, one up on drew closer, but Arbolino held on for a win he dedicated to his mom on Mother's Day.
