Le Mans was a perfect example of that as Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46 Ducati) took the 1000th Grand Prix held since 1949 by putting on a display that belied his sopho - more status, romping home to the Sunday Grand Prix race win by a comfortable 4.2 seconds over Prima Pramac Racing Ducati's duo of Jorge Martin and French home hero Johann Zarco. Martin would, however, enjoy the first laugh of the weekend with his maiden Sprint race win on the Saturday at Le Mans over the man who is fast becoming the Sprint Race go-to—Red Bull KTM's Brad Binder— and World Champion Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team). But there was so much more to the weekend than that. ROUND 5 / MAY 12-14, 2023 LE MANS / LE MANS, FRANCE MOTOGP I FIM MOTOGP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP P80 "Bye!"
