Our 1983 Honda V45 Interceptor test bike was pictured on the cover
40 years ago... We had coverage of the AMA/Wrangler Supercross
Series held in Washington D.C. inside Robert F. Kennedy Stadium. It
was the first time a Supercross race was held in the nation's capital.
David Bailey took the win... Ricky Graham won the Springfield Mile
for the second consecutive time... Can-Am's Johnny Martin out-
dueled Husqvarna's Mike Melton at the Redneck National Enduro in
Louisiana... Kenny Roberts won the German GP.
