Yamanaka retired with a broken
gear lever on lap seven.
On lap 16, the race really
came alive, as Ayumu Sasaki
(InactGP Husqvarna), pole sit-
ter Deniz Oncu (Ajo KTM) and
Tatsuki Suzuki (Leopard Honda)
caught the lead group from be-
ing 2 seconds down several laps
before. Soon Sasaki was carv-
ing through the riders ahead,
and appeared perfectly placed
starting the last lap just behind
Masia, Alonso and Ortola.
Yet that trio proved hard to
displace. Not least Alonso, who
assumed control at turn six,
with Ortola and Sasaki follow
-
ing through. And Ortola's gusty
swoop under the Colombian's
machine at turn 12 was enough
to beat him by 0.034 seconds.
Masia recovered from Sasaki's
late assault to claim third. Rueda
was fifth, Holgado sixth and
Suzuki seventh.
Holgado (59 points) leads the
standings from Diogo Moreira
(MSI KTM – 55 points). Ortola
(50) is up to third.
