42 ALEX RINS
DNF MOTOGP
The Sunday race was quite demanding
due to the hot temperatures and unex-
pected events for COTA winner Alex
Rins, who suffered a crash right after
the second start at Jerez. Rins was un-
injured, but it was a weekend to forget
for the Spaniard and the LCR Honda/
Castrol crew. "We need to understand
what happened during the race. I didn't
feel good with the clutch, and I crashed.
The important thing is to analyze every
detail to improve for the upcoming
races. Tomorrow we'll have a test and
try different parts, so let's be focused:
we would like to take a step forward."

2ND MOTO2
"It was a tough race, but we are more
than happy with the result," said Pedro
Acosta (Red Bull KTM Ajo Motorsport)
who is the new Moto2 points leader.
"I tried to catch up with the leader but
he was very fast, although the pace
was not very different. There was a big
gap to third place, so we earned some
good points for the championship. We
gave everything and the team worked
hard throughout the weekend to be as
competitive as possible today.
MYOWNRACE
Binder lit up the Spanish track with
his second sprint race win out of
four attempts, making him the
most successful rider of the new
format so far in 2023.
The Little Samurai, Dani Pedrosa, came
back for a one-off race and thrilled the
packed home crowd with seventh in
the Sunday Grand Prix.
