Severe thunderstorms caused a major rain delay for the scheduled start of the main
events in East Rutherford, NJ on Saturday night; making for one of the most exciting
races of the 2023 season. Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing's Justin
Barcia and his MC 450F Factory Edition got off to a strong start out of the gate, sized up
the leader for the first six laps, then took over the lead and stretched it to a commanding
14-second advantage at the finish.
