In a nutshell, the motocross - ers are unchanged, except for new graphics. The four-strokers get new suspension settings for a plusher feel. However, there is big news with the XC and XC-F range. Gone are the previous air forks, which have been replaced by all- new WP Xact closed-cartridge spring forks. KTM says: "Im - proved damping characteristics come thanks to a new mid-valve piston concept that optimizes the oil flow within the cartridge. This setup avoids unwanted foaming of oil which can lead to an unwanted change of damping characteristics and less consis - tent damping behavior." The new WP Xact closed cartridge fork retains its 48mm diameter, while the total length is now 940mm, providing 300mm (11.8 inches) of travel. The new KTM's are arriving on showroom floors as we speak. CN WIND IN THE P24 The 2024 range of XC and XC-F KTM off-roaders come fitted with closed-cartridge coil-spring forks. KTM's 2024 SX and SX-F motocrosser returned relatively unchanged.
