eventually moved into second
with Prado taking third. Prado
still took the overall win with 1-3
finishes over Renaux's 2-2. The
GasGas rider continues to lead
the points by 17 over Renaux.
MX2
MX2 points leader Jago Geerts
got a great jump in race one and
put himself up front from the
get-go. The war waged behind
him as the KTMs of Liam Everts
and Andrea Adamo battled for
the final spots on the podium.
Adamo, the Italian, made a key
pass on his teammate, Everts,
with just one lap remaining and
took second at the checkers.
Geerts claimed the win.
Simon Laengenfelder grabbed
the lead early in race two and
was followed closely again by
Thibault Benistant, Everts and
Adamo. Race one winner, Geerts,
fell on lap one, making things dif
-
ficult on himself. With Geerts out
of the picture, Adamo was the
man on the move and worked his
way from fourth to second. Two
second-place finishes earned
him his first grand prix overall
in front of his home crowd.
Laengenfelder took the win in
race two but finished fourth
overall with a 9-1 on the day.
Everts used two consistent thirds
to claim second overall behind
KTM teammate Adamo. Geerts
clawed his way to seventh in
race two and salvaged third over
-
all at the end of the day. He still
leads the points over Adamo and
Benistant.
