Barcia Signs Extension
With GasGas Factory

ustin Barcia revealed at the Atlanta Supercross this
past weekend that he has signed a contract exten-
sion with his current Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull Gas-
Gas Factory Race Team. Barcia, who finished second
at the Atlanta Supercross, said during the post-race
press conference, "I signed with the team for another
two years. That's not really out there yet, but it is now."
The number-51 machine was the first 450SX rider
signed to the GasGas brand back in 2021, where he
claimed the opening-round win at Anaheim 1. He will
likely finish off his professional time with the Troy Lee
Designs Team. Barcia is currently fourth in 2023 Mon

Thrasher will be sidelined
for several weeks while he
recovers from the injuries
he suffered at the Atlanta
Supercross, April 15.
Thrasher revealed on
Monday, April 17, that he
suffered a broken collar

bone and a dislocated hip
in the fall during the 250SX
East main event.
"Unfortunately, I had
a hard crash in the main
which caused me to dislo
-
cate my hip and break my
collar bone. They were able
to put my hip back in place,
but when I got a CAT scan
they noticed a few bone
fragments, so we are still
waiting to get surgery on
that."
Thrasher was holding
down second place in the
250SX East Supercross
Championship when the
crash occurred.
