(fourth) once the trio stormed
past Cose to elevate their fight
to one for second.
Gauthier's former teammate
Chase Saathoff was the first
Honda-mounted rider in fifth,
while Cose faded back to a
ninth-place result following the
restart.

stalked 1st Impres-
sions Husqvarna's Chad Cose
for
a little less than half the
main event, put in a decisive
move, and cleared away at the
front.
His all-but-assured victory
came under threat by a red flag
that was issued with just 10
seconds (plus two laps) to be
completed. But he survived the
staggered restart and cleared
off once more for the win.
Gauthier came into the race
as the only rider with a perfect
podium record and added a win
to that impressive tally, moving
Defending Singles
champ Kody Kopp kept
pace with Gauthier,
finishing second. He
maintains the points
lead but by just one
over Gauthier.
