T
he second round of the enormous 2023 MotoGP sea-
son saw two action-packed races for the world's pre-
mier riders, a bunch of crashes, race direction come
under fire yet again, and the world champion bite the dust
while chasing his great friend from the VR46 Academy.
When the dust (or rather, rain) settled, the acclaims
went to Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46 Ducati), the
young Italian notching his and his team's first win in the
premier class by riding a masterful 25 laps in treacherous
conditions. His victory means he now leads the champi
-
onship by a handy nine points from defending champion
Francesco Bagnaia (Lenovo Ducati).
