Webb said. "Eli got around me
and I just tried to lock onto him.
Chase got around all of us and
we had to roll the jump [red
cross section]. He [Sexton] got
a gap and from then on, he rode
well. But it ended up being a
good points night."
Tomac ended up third after
finishing off the podium the
previous week. Tomac said
before the race that he strained
his neck at the Indy Supercross
and has been suffering neck
soreness since then, which also
reduced his training the days
leading up to the Detroit race.
Despite his lingering soreness,
Tomac still managed to finish
third and minimize the damage.
"Obviously not smart to go
outside in the 90-degree turn
before the on-off," Tomac said
of getting passed by Webb.
"Kind of sat there behind Cooper
and Barcia and just lost touch. I
just rode around and feel lucky
just to be sitting here. Overall, I
feel better than last week body-
wise, not 100-percent but not
too bad."
After some heated battles
with several riders, Barcia ended
up fourth, three seconds behind
Tomac.
Last week's Indy winner
Roczen could only muster a top
five in Detroit, saying later he
wasn't "stoked" on his riding and
execution in the main event. He
started sixth and was running in
the same position when Pless
-
inger went down. He crossed
the finish line six seconds
behind Barcia and more than 10
seconds ahead of sixth-place
finisher Christian Craig on the
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna.
Justin Hill had a strong night,
finishing seventh on the Team
Tedder Monster Energy KTM.

Plessinger won't forget this incident
