Acosta Tops Moto2 Test In Portimao
T
he final pre-season Moto2
test was completed on
March 19, and it was former
Moto3 World Champion and
Moto2 title favorite Pedro Acos-
ta who topped the timesheets
across the three days.
The Red Bull KTM Ajo rider's
1:41.907 saw him finish the test
atop the timesheets ahead of
Fermin Aldeguer (CAG Speed
Up) and Aron Canet (Pons We
-
gow Los40) with the former less
than a tenth off of Acosta's time.
It has also been a promising
few days for the ELF Marc VDS
riders, with Sam Lowes and Tony
Arbolino claiming a place in the
top six behind Somkiat Chantra
(Idemitsu Honda Team Asia).
In Moto3, Riccardo Rossi
(SIC58 Squadra Corse) took test

ing honors thanks to a 1:47.211
in the penultimate session of
the weekend. Red Bull Rookies
Champion, Jose Antonio Rueda
(Red Bull KTM Ajo), took sec
-
ond, 0.051s off the fastest lap.
David Munoz (BOE Motorsports)
rounded out the field in third.
