Peters Again at Tulsa Arenacross T he AMA Arenacross Se- ries made its stop in Tulsa, Oklahoma, March 10, for round 11 of the championship. Points leader Kyle Peters continued his hot streak, as he swept both Pro main events. Peters qualified on top then proceeded to win his heat race. Main one saw Peters go virtu - ally uncontested as he took off with the lead and held it until the checkered flag. Kyle Bitterman also won his heat race and followed Peters in for second place in the main event at the finish. Honda rider Izaih Clark round - ed out the podium. Race two flipped the start- ing order, putting Peters and the rest of the front-runners on the back row. Somehow Peters still managed to come out third in the first turn and took over the lead just a lap later. From there on out it was trouble for the competition, as Peters went on to win the race. Drake Bailey and Preston Taylor claimed their spots on the box in second and third, respectively, while Bitterman finished just off the podium in fourth. CN PRO MAIN 1 1. Kyle Peters (Hon) 2. Preston Taylor (Kaw) WIND IN THE P50 Busto Wins X-Trial In Austria G asGas rider Jaime Busto captured his first FIM X-Trial victory of the season, when he came out on top in round two in Austria, March 11. Busto's evening didn't get off to a great start with maximum scores in the first and last sec - tions of the opening lap, end- ing lap one a full four marks off the leader's pace. However, a solid second lap elevated the 25-year-old Spanish star into second and earned an all-im - portant place in the three-man final where he outdueled de- fending champ Repsol Honda's Toni Bou. "I'm so happy about how my night has ended," Busto said. "I didn't make the best of starts today. I made a couple of mistakes on lap one and two, but for the final I started more concentrated, just think- ing about riding how I know I can and not worrying about the time to complete the sections. I went out and just felt great on the bike. I can't be happier to give GasGas a win." Third on the night went to Adam Raga (TRRS). Despite finishing second to Busto, Bou still leads the championship by five points over Busto, 38-33. Bou's team - mate Gabriel Marcelli, fourth in Austria, is third with 24 points. CN Kyle Peters made it look easy after winning both main events at the Tulsa Arenacross. GasGas rider Jaime Busto emerged victorious at round two of the FIM X-Trial World Championship in Austria.
