ruts that'll grab your pegs. And then you've got guys that are out there dealing with the same stuff and they're moving around, too. It's pretty wild." This marks Lawrence's fourth win of the season. He is now 22 points up from second-placed Max Anstie in the champion - ship standings. Monster Energy Star Rac- ing Yamaha's Nate Thrasher bounced back after a rough weekend in Daytona to grab second place in Indy, his sec - ond time this season. Thrasher, who is still riding with an injured ACL in his knee, put a decisive move on the rest of the Star Racing Yamaha riders, including teammate Jordon Smith, early in the race before settling into the second position. He looked close to Lawrence's speed for a while, but with track conditions and lappers at maximum dif - ficulty, Thrasher knew second would still earn him valuable points in the championship. He's now third overall, up one point on Smith. "We fought our best, I wish I would've been better off the start," Thrasher said. "There wasn't too much I could've done differently on my side. I wish I was winning but second is good, too." Rack up another podium for Jordon Smith, as he claimed third in Indianapolis. Smith showed speed all night as he won his heat race and started up front in the main event. A third place is consistent for Smith, who's in his first year with the Star Racing Yamaha pro - gram, but he's locked into a tight battle with teammate Thrasher for third in the championship. "I think we have five rounds left and my goal is to stay at the front and battle with Hunter [Lawrence]," Smith said. "Try - ing to get a win is the real goal. Then if we can get one, just try to get another. It doesn't change a lot for each individual week - end, just trying to do whatever we can do get a win."
