Bolt Perfect In Israel B illy Bolt is on the cusp of winning the 2022-2023 FIM SuperEnduro Championship after sweeping the penultimate round in Israel, March 2. The Husqvar- na has won all four rounds so far with just one round, Poland, remaining on the schedule. Bolt topped all three main events in Israel, including Super- pole (which determines starting position in the first race). "It was another good night for me, even though I feel I could still improve in some aspects of my riding—the first race especially was a bit of a messy one for me," said Bolt. "But overall I'm really satisfied with the end result of tonight. Across the three races, I stayed focused, and I felt better as the night went on. Now I feel like I can't wait another two weeks before the last round, because it seems a long time! I will stay mentally and physically prepared and get ready to end this season in style." Beta rider Jonny Walker was Bolt's nearest rival all night. Walker was always there, pressuring for the win but ended up going 2-2-2. GasGas' Taddy Blazusiak went 4-3-3. In race one, Blazusiak was battling American Cody Webb for the final spot on the podium but couldn't get around the Factory - ONE Sherco rider. For Webb, that was his best result of the night. Webb and Bla- zusiak again duked it out for third in race two, this time Blazusiak winning out. Webb holeshot the third and final race of the night but a bobble cost the Sherco rider two positions (to Bolt and Walker). Lat - er on, Webb was forced to pull out of the race after his bike started leaking oil from hitting a rock. With one round to go, Bolt leads Walker by a comfortable 36-point margin. The race for third is very much in the air between Webb and Blazusiak. Only seven points separate the two riders with one round remaining. CN Race 1: 1. Billy Bolt (Hus) 2. Jonny Walker (Bet) 3.
