"I saw a red jersey down in
the whoops which was Nate
[Thrasher] and I knew if I got him,
I'd win," Smith said. "I was trying
to push but was about a second
back and I tried to make a good
run through the whoops to close
in on him and crashed on the last
lap going through the whoops. It
was chaotic out there."
Lawrence started strong but
