evaluated many of the top off-road and motocross boots on the market
and let you decide which boots fit you best. The most expensive were
the Hallman GP boots that retailed for $71.99... We had coverage of
the Soboba Grand Prix, and the Little Harpeth National Enduro in
Tennessee won by Bill Kain... We tested the Yamaha 100 LT3 enduro
bike and the Suzuki GT250 street bike.

LOOKING BACK I
Jeff Ward was pictured on the cover of Cycle News 40 years ago for
winning the 125cc class at the CMC Golden State MX Series round
at Hollister. Goat Breker and David Bailey were some of the other big
winners... We reviewed the Honda CBX 550 F11 which wasn't available
in the U.S., and we also tested the KTM 504GS Enduro bike... Larry Ward
was one of the big winners at the Amateur Supercross Series round at the
Seattle Kingdome... American Bernie Schreiber won the opening round of
the World Observed Trials Championship in Spain.
