ROUND 4 / FEBRUARY 4, 2023 NRG STADIUM / HOUSTON, TEXAS P54 SUPERCROSS I MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES / SUPERMOTOCROSS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MYOWNRACE 238 HAIDEN DEEGAN 4TH 250SX EAST Haiden Deegan made his highly an ci- pated pro debut in Houston and put in the best result of all the rookies. "In the main event, I was pre y nervous on the line, but I got a decent start and then just fought and never gave up. I kept pushing through the pack. I had a lot of people to prove wrong, and I ended up fourth in my first Pro Supercross race. It was a crazy night! I am so happy with how it went." 32 JUSTIN COOPER 5TH 450SX Jus n Cooper made his 450SX debut alongside Yamaha teammates Eli Tomac and Dylan Ferrandis. A last-lap pass on veteran Ken Roczen put Cooper in fi h. "The goal was to be around the top 10, and we achieved that. I finished seventh and even made a last-lap pass and felt good toward the end of the race. I just felt like I had a good flow and wasn't pushing over my head, but I wasn't riding too slow, either. Everything came a lot easier for me in the main event, even though the track so was messed up. For my first 450 race, I'm just glad to click my laps off like that and be that consistent and work my way through the pack." Chase Sexton appeared to be the rider to beat after topping qualifying by more than a second, but the veteran Tomac found extra speed. Sexton took second on the night. Jason Anderson has picked up his pace lately and made it on the podium for the second week in a row.
