time leading the Star Racing
Yamaha team in the East series.
The 250cc veteran kicked off
the night with a heat-race win
and later used his race knowl

edge to secure a podium in the
main event.
Despite a tip-over
in the sand, Smith managed to
push back into podium conten-
tion and secure the final podium
spot.
The leaders kept a fast
pace and finished nine seconds
clear of fourth place. This is a
great start to Smith's season
as he's consistently been a title
