Peters Dominates Reno Arenacross R ound seven of the AMA Aren- across Championship headed to Reno, Nevada, February 3. Several West Supercross riders attended this one but defending Champion Kyle Peters (Phoenix Honda) still took the win in both main events. Peters is an ace in the first mains and got up front to no real surprise. He claimed the first win of the night ahead of Brandon Ray and Devin Harriman, both regular names in Supercross's 250SX West division. Main two saw the running or - der flipped, meaning the top fin- ishers from main one start from the back row in race two. This put new faces at the front, while Peters and company worked their way through the field. Peters got through turn one unscathed, but it took him until the final lap of the race to secure a pass for the lead. Once out front, he took the victory and another perfect weekend. Christopher Pre - bula finished second in main two with Harriman a close third. CN P46 Kyle Peters won both main events at the AMA Arenacross in Reno. Hicks Crowned Arenacross Outlaws Champion T he final two rounds of the Arenacross Outlaws series took place in Memphis, Ten- nessee, February 3-4. Michael Hicks and Mike Alessi split wins over the two nights of racing with Hicks taking home the championship. Friday's round 14 saw Alessi and Hicks duke it out for the top spot in the 250cc Pro class. Alessi got the holeshot and led every lap, while Hicks worked his way up to second. Carter Gordon took third. The 450 Pro class put the same three back out in front, just in a different order. Hicks got the start this time around and checked out with the win. Gordon and Alessi battled for the second spot with Gordon ultimately getting the upper hand, finishing seven seconds behind Hicks. Hicks managed to wrap up the title on Friday and headed off to the Houston Supercross the next day. This left the field wide open for Saturday night's season finale. In the 250 class, Alessi took the win for the sec - ond night in a row. Gordon and Carter Biese went 2-3. Alessi put it down again in the 450 class, leading every lap of the race. Gordon and Biese kept themselves in the hunt again, finishing second and third, respectively. CN Pro Main 1 1. Kyle Peters (Hon) 2. Brandon Ray (Hon) 3. Devin Harriman (KTM) 4.
