The 16-inch model is designed for youth riders between the ages of 5-9 years of age and the 20-inch model is for riders aged between 8-12 years. Maxxis tires provide these bikes with the grip and control to produce a stable plat - form for kids to learn the sport of trials." The Minitrial E has a three-posi - tion power switch (Slow, Medium, Fast) and will run for roughly a full two hours on the slow/trial position. CN MXGP Updates Points Scoring System M XGP says it will start award- ing points towards the MXGP and MX2 Championships from Saturday's qualifying. The top 10 qualifying riders from both classes MXGP and MX2 will score points as follows: the rider who wins the qualifying race will receive 10 points, the second will receive nine points and so on, in a sliding scale down to one point for the 10th position. Points gained during the qualifying race will count for the MXGP and MX2 Championships standings, as well as Manufac - turers', but they'll not be consid- ered for the GP overall results. The Grand Prix overall results will still only count the points coming from the combination of the two main races. After the qualify - ing race on Satur- day, the Champion- ship points leader will display the front red number plate on the bike with white numbers during both races on Sunday. Another update concerns the number of MXGP riders admitted to an event. There will now be more opportu - nity to participate, more than 40 riders to the MXGP category. The wildcard riders will compete in an additional qualification time practice where the fastest will be able to join the regular riders in the main MXGP qualifying race. Two additional riders will remain as reserve riders and can step in, whenever one of the qualified rid - ers cannot participate.
