crash. "From there I just tried to get up with
the pack, but I had to roll the double before
the finish twice because guys crashed in
front of me. I was just like, 'Okay so this is
where we're at right now.'"
Stilez Robertson got up in the mix too,
scoring his first-ever race win during the
night. The California native finished sixth
in race one but rebounded to a win in the
second main. Robertson started up front
and continued to move forward as riders
dropped from mistakes. He later put a pass
on race leader Phil Nicoletti and ran away
with the race win. A third behind teammate
Kitchen allowed Robertson to seal the deal
on an overall podium. This marks his first
non-Daytona podium and his first time on
the box with the Star Racing Yamaha team.
"I knew you had to be consistent, but I was
just a little too reserved in the first main,"
Robertson said. "Second main, I said 'I'm
either going to crash or whatever,' but then
people started 'domino-ing' over so I was
like 'Well, I guess we'll take the win.'"
