Nichols, who is new to the team and scheduled to compete in just the 450cc class in Supercross, says he's looking forward to the challenge in what will be his first full-time attempt in the big-bore class. He says he wants to make the most of this opportunity with Honda and "open people's eyes." Hymas will compete in select 250cc East region Supercross races before going full-time out- doors, replacing Jett Lawrence on the 250cc bike. But the "real reason" everyone came to Blackmore Ranch was to watch Honda's factory riders team up with members of the press and sponsors for a team race aboard Honda CRF125Fs on Blackmore's immaculate oval dirt track. As you can imagine, the racing was intense when all five factory rid- ers got on the track at the same time; after all, racers are racers. Hunter Lawrence's team (Dylan Kelley, Cameron Canera and Gus Stewart) ended up taking the win, narrowly beating Hymas' team (Tommy Harris, Kellen Brauer and Paul Perebijnos). In case you're wondering, Jett posted the quickest lap time fol- lowed by Hymas. Nichols (45), Hymas (832), Jett Lawrence (18) and Sexton (23) go at it on Honda CRF125Fs. Sexton snuck in a few laps on the MX track.
