Nichols, who is new to the team
and scheduled to compete in just
the 450cc class in Supercross,
says he's looking forward to the
challenge in what will be his first
full-time attempt in the big-bore
class. He says he wants to make
the most of this opportunity with
Honda and "open people's eyes."
Hymas will compete in select
250cc East region Supercross
races before going full-time out-
doors, replacing Jett Lawrence
on the 250cc bike.
But the "real reason" everyone
came to Blackmore Ranch was to
watch Honda's factory riders team
up with members of the press and
sponsors for a team race aboard
Honda CRF125Fs on Blackmore's
immaculate oval dirt track. As
you can imagine, the racing was
intense when all five factory rid-
ers got on the track at the same
time; after all, racers are racers.
Hunter Lawrence's team (Dylan
Kelley, Cameron Canera and Gus
Stewart) ended up taking the win,
narrowly beating Hymas' team
(Tommy Harris, Kellen Brauer and
Paul Perebijnos).
In case you're wondering, Jett
posted the quickest lap time fol-
lowed by Hymas.

session for a fun flat-track team race with
the media and sponsors. Nichols (45),
