most promise in their upcoming
career as a professional racer.
For Bisceglia, that career begins
right away when he lines up with
the pros at the Unadilla National
this weekend.
This year's event will also be

tions throughout the week, giving
even more credit to both Bisceglia and Plessinger's accomplishments. They claimed motos wins
in both muddy and dry conditions, proving their ability to adapt
to whatever is thrown their way,
which is something that certainly
impressed the many motocross
scouts at Loretta's.
Briefly...
Going Pro: Matt Bisceglia won't
be the only rider moving on to the
big leagues after Loretta's, so will
one of his main rivals in the amateur
ranks, Shan McElrath. Like Bisceglia, McErath has already inked a
ride and he won't be going far. The
Troy Lee Designs-backed rider will
begin his pro career at Unadilla on
the Lucas Oil/TLD Honda Team,
which has high hopes for its newest member. Luke Renzland, who
outdueled Jace Owen for the 450
A-class title and finished third to
Bisceglia and McElrath in the 250
A class, will also be heading to Unadilla next week. Bisceglia's Factory Connection teammate Jordon
Smith looked super fast all week
but crashes in the 250 B class kept
him out of title contention. In the
Limited class, however, he won all
three motos and went home a National Champion. Like with Aaron
Plessinger, some feel that Smith
won't make it to Loretta's next year
before turning pro.
Speaking of Jace Owen, he was
having the race of his life, leading

A moto when he missed timed the
jumps in the Ten Commandments
section and slammed his face on
the handlebars, knocking him dingy. He pulled off the track before
continuing on as though nothing
had happened.

track having suffered a concussion. He wanted to race the 250 A
class later in the day but played it
