STEVE RAPP MAKES IT FOUR IN A ROW

yler O'Hara was hanging on
to Steve Rapp like a German Shepard to a perp's
leg, but it was no use. Rapp was
just too strong on his Aerostar
Global/Suburban Harley-Davidson XR1200 and he racked up
his fourth successive AMA Pro
Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson
race win on Sunday at Miller Motorsports Park and firmly established himself as the rider to beat
heading into this season's fourrace $60,000 XR Showdown.
Rapp led the race from the
start but was being pressured
most of the way by O'Hara on
the Eco Fuel Saver/Scrubblade
XR1200. Rapp took full advan-
tage of an O'Hara mistake to
open a small gap with a few laps
remaining and held that gap to
the checkered flag.
An incident in a turn with three
laps to go caused O'Hara to lose
the draft of the leader.
"Going into the first left at the
Attitudes, I leaned over and hit
the cases," O'Hara explained. "It
just about threw me to the moon
