ROUND 6/AUGUST 3, 2013 CASTLE ROCK RACE PARK/CASTLE ROCK, WASHINGTON FLAT TRACK P42 AMA GRAND NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP Stevie Bonsey finished third in his debut on the Zanotti Racing team. Mees. "I wussed it around there in the first corner and you can't do that with these guys. It was tough to pass." The end of lap one saw Carver, Bauman, Mees and Stevie Bonsey – on the ex-Jake Johnson Zanotti Racing Honda - being pursued by the Baker brothers, Brad and Scott. THE SPECIALIST Henry Wiles came from deep in the field to finish fourth. Carver was able to gain a small advantage as Bauman fended off Mees, with Bonsey lurking just behind. At the midpoint of the race, Bauman made his move and actually grabbed the lead going into turn one for a heartbeat. Carver quickly regained the point as they exited the turn and headed for the jump. Brisbane, California's Dominic Colindres is becoming somewhat of a TT specialist in the AMA Pro J&P Cycles Pro Singles class. Colindres and his Motorcycle Superstore/Bell Helmets-backed entry captured his only other win in the class at the Peoria TT last year and he dominated at Castle Rock Race Park in similar fashion. "It really suited my riding style and the win came at a critical time for me," said Colindres. "I'm really looking forward to the rest of the races now and this victory will certainly give me a huge boost of confidence. This win was for my mom and dad, the two people who have always been there for me and I can't thank them enough." Bronson Bauman stayed relatively close for a while "I could see Briar's shadow," said Carver. "I could see his tire marks getting into the righthander where I knew he was trying to get underneath me every lap. I knew he was there and I just kept pushing. Luckily enough he made the bobble and I was able to just keep moving." On lap 17 it was more than a on the Rod Lake Racing/RGR/ Hooper Motorsports entry, but in the end finished almost three seconds back. Bauman's solid ride was well ahead of a huge battle over the last podium spot. Rodney Spencer (GP Sports/Pinit Motorsports) held it most of the way over last year's winner Jacob Lehmann (Ride Motorsports/Spy Optics) and this year's fast qualifier Ryan Kearns (Stockton Moto/Spy Optics). With two laps to go all three went into turn one together. Spencer got the short end then and the last lap saw Kearns wedge himself past Lehmann and into third. Spencer was able to regroup and take fifth over series points leader Wyatt Maguire, Cole Anderson, Mikeal Strable, Cole Frederickson and Ryan Wells.
