30 Years Ago DECEMBER 2, 1992 Our 1993 Kawasaki KX125 test bike was pictured in action on the cover of Cycle News 30 years ago. We also tested the KX250... We had full coverage of the Baja 1000, where Kawasaki's Team Green's Danny Hamel, Paul Ostbo and Garth Sweetland teamed up to take the win... Jean- Michel Bayle went out in style by winning the Paris Supercross in front of the home crowd. It was Bayle's last supercross/motocross race before embarking on a career in road racing... Things got a little silly at the Laugh-In Trophy Trial at Glen Helen. A mud-covered Mike Kiedrowski was pictured on the cover 20 years ago after wrapping up the WORCS Championship at Honey Lake. Ty Davis took the day's win, but Kiedrowski nabbed his second title... Grant Langston won the Bercy Supercross, while the U.S. won the "us-versus-them" team competition... We had coverage of the Elsinore Grand Prix. Destry Abbott won the featured Harvey Mushman 100 race. the home crowd. It was Bayle's last supercross/motocross race before racing...
