Tomac kicked off the racing by winning the opening sprint moto on Saturday night. The Yamaha rider has already won nearly everything there is to win during the 2022 season and wanted to add the Paris title to his list of accolades. Three races for each class saw two "sprint" races and one main event, with Olympic- style scoring determining the overall winners. Tomac backed up his first win with a second place and another first later in the night. These consistent re- sults put him on top for night one and in strong contention for the weekend's overall.
