VOLUME 59 ISSUE 46 NOVEMBER 15, 2022 P59 The compact engine uses a 270-degree firing order for "strong torque production" and is equipped with Suzuki's exclusive Cross Balancer system for smooth opera- tion. Transmission features the company's Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) and Bi- directional Quickshift system. It also features the Su- zuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) that includes traction control with a trail-oriented Gravel mode plus rider-ad- justable ABS with two levels of sensitivity plus the ability to switch off the rear-wheel ABS when riding off-road. The 800cc V-Strom will be available in two trims—standard and Adventure. The Adventure comes with a set of black aluminum side cases, aluminum skid plate, and accessory bar. Seat height is listed at 33.7 inches and claimed curb weight is 507 pounds. Suzuki also unveiled its new GSX-8S, a naked-style sport bike that is also powered by Suzuki's new 776cc parallel- twin engine. Suzuki says the GSX-8S is "engineered from the ground up to deliver streetfighter per- formance for a new generation that's sure to turn heads and make a statement. Powerful, agile, and ready to go, the 8S offers a strong appeal to a broad range of riders, regard- less of their age or riding experience." The GSX-8S will be available in three color variants: Suzuki's Pearl Cosmic Blue, Pearl Tech White and Metallic Matte Black No. 2 / Glass Sparkle Black.
