Next year, the team will switch from Yamaha to Aprilia machinery. NEW KTM CHASSIS KTM's testing program began in earnest at Valencia with Brad Binder using a new chassis to aid with the RC16's turning deficien- cies. The South African was com- petitive in qualifying and free prac- tice, despite feeling far from fully comfortable aboard the revised frame. "Lap-time-wise, I'm not sure if it is [much faster]," he said. "It's different. I feel I gain more on gas and acceleration, from corner to corner. But I definitely lose on entry because the front is a lot looser. And it takes a lot more to trust where the limit is because it moves a lot.
