Aaron Tanti captured
his first Australian
Supercross win in
the SX1 class after
topping Justin
Brayton in the final.
R
ound two of the Australian
Supercross Champion-
ship took place in Adelaide,
South Australia, October 29.
Genuine Honda's Max Anstie
and CDR Yamaha's Aaron
Tanti came away with the
overall wins in the SX2 and
SX1 divisions, respectively.
SX1
Tanti, the current Austra-
lian Motocross Champion,
came into the night trailing
points leader Justin Brayton.
With only four rounds in the
series, every race held valu-
able points and neither rider
wanted to give the other an
edge.
Australian veteran Matt
Moss took the holeshot over
Tanti and Brayton and held the
lead for the first few turns. By
the end of lap one, however,
Tanti made his way to the top
spot and never relinquished
it. With his consistency on
the tight, one-line course, the
CDR Yamaha rider was able to
sneak away with the win in the
20-lap main event. This marks
Tanti's first career SX1 Super-
cross win.
Brayton eventually made
his way around Moss but was
too far back to reach Tanti.
There just wasn't enough
time for the American to hunt
Britain's Max
Anstie topped
the SX2 class
and pulled out
to a 12-point
lead in the class
championship.
