down the hot Australian rider. Tanti's CDR Yamaha teammate, Josh Hill, rounded out the final spot on the SX1 podium. "The track was fast and you had to ride it with intensity as it was easy to lose time, but very hard to make it up," Tanti said. "Every corner and every jump had to be done at 100 percent, or I knew Justin would be all over me. I'm happy with myself that I was able to stay composed un- der pressure and keep focused on what was ahead of me for the full race. That was something I wanted to improve from last week, so it's good to be able to execute that here in Adelaide." In the race for the SX1 Cham- pionship, Tanti and Brayton are tied at the top of the leaderboard with 47 points apiece. Moss is third with 34 points and Hayden Mellross, seventh in Adelaide, is fourth with 32 points. SX2 In the SX2 division, British rider Max Anstie took his second consecutive win in the series. The Genuine Honda pilot did not get the start he hoped for, but eventually made his way to the lead on lap eleven of fifteen. His Honda teammate, Wilson Todd, grabbed the holeshot and led for the first half of the race before giving the spot to his veteran teammate. Todd went on to finish second while GasGas rider Noah Ferguson claimed third. "I had a really solid race," said Anstie. "There was a bit of carnage on the opening lap—the guys were going everywhere! My teammate, Wilson, was riding a great race and out front. I man- aged to click off my laps, stay consistent, pass him and bring home a 1-2 finish for the team." In the SX2 Championship, Anstie has a comfortable 12-point lead over Nathan Crawford, who was fourth in Adelaide. Cole Thompson, Ferguson and Rhys Budd are all within seven points of Crawford. The championship takes a three-week break before heading to Newcastle, NSW, for round three. CN OVERALL SX1 1. Aaron Tanti (Yam) 2. Justin Brayton (Hon) 3. Josh Hill (Yam) 4. Matt Moss (Yam) 5.
