rino GP. Ayumu Sasaki made it
a Sterilgarda Husqvarna Max 1-2
with a second-place finish, with
Sergio Garcia (Gaviota GasGas
Aspar Team) picking up the final
podium in third.
There was a highlight reel
moment for new World Cham-
pion, Izan Guevara (Gaviota
GasGas Aspar Team), who was
in the leading group with four
laps remaining when he tagged
the back of Sasaki's machine
coming onto the main straight.
The Spaniard was fired onto the
grass and nearly into the pit wall,
but he stayed on and got his ma-
chine back on track. His podium
hopes were dashed, and he
came home 12th.
It doesn't matter in terms of
the title, however, with Guevara
already crowned in Phillip Island.
He sits at 294 to teammate Gar-
cia's 241. Foggia, sixth in Malay-
sia, is third with 233.
Johann Zarco (5) holds off Aleix
Espargaro, who's last glimmer of title glory
was extinguished in Malaysia.
