the season on Friday, hitting the
stripe well ahead of Texter, who
finished a down night in sixth.
With 21 points in hand,
Janisch waved riders by as he
cruised his way to eighth on
Saturday, effectively taking an
extended series of victory laps
on his way to his first-career Pro-
gressive AFT Championship.
Texter, meanwhile, went out
like a true champion. The G&G
Racing Yamaha star discov-
ered the speed he lacked the
night before and grabbed the
last checkered flag that waved
goodbye to him as he raced into
retirement.
Also notable was the perfor-
mance of Memphis Shades/
Corbin Seats/Vinson Construc-
tion's Dan Bromley, who finished
second both nights. That com-
pleted a season podium sweep
for the former Singles champ,
tallying up six seconds and two
thirds in just eight attempts this
season.
His teammate, Cole Zabala,
joined him on the box on Sat-
urday, while Friday's third went
to Las Vegas Harley-Davidson's
Kolby Carlile, who made a
welcome return to the box after
missing much of the season due
to injury.
