cruise in the main. He executed
passes on Vanderkooi and Dan-
iels, allowing him to accept his
latest number-one plate on the
podium with a season-ending
third-place finish.
The win this time went to
Vanderkooi's teammate Bran-
don Robinson, who inherited
the lead when Beach's machine
expired and then subsequently
fought off Bauman to the stripe.
It was an incredible way for
the Mission Roof Systems team
to round out an eventful '22
campaign. The team struggled
mightily to start the year but
ended simply mightily, claiming
wins in three of the final four
races, while Vanderkooi added
the $25,000 prize for winning
the Progressive Triple Crown to
cap things off.
By contrast, it was a disap-
pointing end to a breakthrough
season for Estenson Racing
Yamaha. Daniels crashed from
fourth on Friday and Beach broke
while leading on Saturday, result-
ing in respective 12-4 and 4-11

3-5 PRODUCTION TWINS
Las Vegas Harley-Davidson-backed Kolby
Carlile started the year in promising form,
securing a podium in the season's second
race. He then spent ten races recovering
from ankle and vertebrae injuries, which
were suffered while s ll technically on
the mend from the leg he broke at the '21
season finale. That made his third-place
finish on Friday night especially sweet,
even if he wanted even more. He said,
"I was really happy to get back on the
podium, but I was a li le upset because I
knew I had the speed to win. It was one of
those deals, so I don't think I showed my
true emo ons of just how happy I was.
But it does feel amazing because I went
through unreal amounts to get back to
where I am now. It's been a very long road
and there have been days when ge ng
out of bed and walking down the stairs
was a triumph for me. I'm very happy and
grateful to be able to ride a motorcycle
again at this level."
