Our 125cc Puch dual-sport test bike was pictured on the cover 50 years ago, ridden by a happy-looking and helmet- and protection-less female photo model. How times have changed... We had coverage of the Golden Bear World Championship Enduro held at Soggy Dry Lake in the California desert, but we didn't know who had won yet. Typical of the time, competitors had to wait approximately two weeks for enduro results to be tallied... Roger DeCoster and Ake Jonsson were the stars at the Trans- AMA Series round at Road Atlanta. 50 Years Ago OCTOBER 24, 1972 P126 LOOKING BACK We pictured the all-new VF750 V45 Interceptor from Honda on the cover of Cycle News 40 years ago.
