Gillim, who started from pole position, got the holeshot and was never headed. At the checkered flag, the Kentuckian had stretched out his lead to more than eight seconds. Sec- ond place went to Vision Wheel/ Discount Tire/ KWS Honda rider Geoff May who withstood a near high-side on the way to his runner-up result. Cycle World/Octane/ Chuckwalla Racing's Andrew timate corner of the penultimate lap, leaving the champion-elect nowhere to go and both record- ing a DNF while lying second and third. The race was thus red flagged taking the title. Yaakov is third with 277 points. STOCK 1000 Corey Alex- ander (Tytlers Cycle/RideH- VMC Racing BMW) had already wrapped up the 2022 Stock 1000 Championship at New Jersey two weeks ago, and it was good fortune he did so as he failed to finish at Barber's only Stock 1000 race after getting tangled up with teammate Travis Wyman. Wyman had crashed right in front of Alexander on the penul- Kaleb De Keyrel (1) took the race but Blake Davis (22) is Twins Cup Champion for 2022. Josh Herrin, on wet tires, smashed everyone in the second Supersport race.
